I’ve recently discovered a fondness for the humble circuit board. Yes, that’s possibly one of the stranger statements you’ll read this year. But there’s something very interesting about these perfect lines connecting elements together in a uniform, functional manner.
I wanted to explore this a little further with my camera, so it was off to eBay to purchase a job lot of old boards…
This is actually a circuit board recycled to make an A5 clipboard

The job lot consisted of a big collection of well used boards, all with components soldered on…
…and lots of dust
The darker shots were achieved by bouncing the flash off the nearby wall and by experimenting with a narrow aperture, bringing certain things into focus

I’m most happy with the darker shots, they seem almost like an aerial view of a city at night-time
